Here at Madrid Vibes, we offer unforgettable experiences that showcase the vibrant culture, rich history, and captivating sights of Spain’s capital city. Recently, we had the pleasure of hosting 21 students from Sandymoor Academy as part of our Global School Alliance partnership. This is their second year traveling through Madrid Vibes. From the moment they landed at Madrid Airport to the final farewell, our team at Madrid Vibes made sure every aspect of their trip was taken care of!
The trip began as the students were transferred from the airport to their home base for the week, the cozy and centrally located Central House Hostel. Right in the heart of Madrid, this charming hostel served as their comfortable haven throughout their six-day stay. Providing breakfast for almost every day this hostel was the perfect place! The following morning kicked off with an exciting exchange program at Colegio Balder school, where the Sandymoor students had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the Spanish educational system and forge connections with local peers. This was done through our partnership with Global School Alliance. This cultural exchange set the stage for a week filled with cross-cultural understanding and exploring of Spain. Sandymoor students were able to meet new friends that they were able to explore sights in Spain with!
With their newfound friends, our group left for a journey through Madrid’s lush greenery at the Botanic Gardens. Led by knowledgeable guides, the exploration continued the next day with a trip to El Escorial, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its stunning architecture and history. From the grandeur of the Royal Monastery, which the students received a guided tour inside of, to the beauty of the surrounding landscape, this excursion offered a glimpse into Spain’s past.
Back in Madrid, the students got to explore the city’s history with tours of the Palacio Real and the Reina Sofia Museum. Led by expert guides, they saw the wealth of the royal palace and the avant-garde masterpieces housed within the museum’s walls.
Behind the scenes, Madrid Vibes worked tirelessly to orchestrate every detail of the student’s itinerary, from arranging airport transfers to coordinating the school visit, tours, and accommodation. Our dedicated team made sure that the students’ and their teacher’s needs were met at every turn, allowing them to focus on enjoying the sights and experiences of Madrid without worry in the world.
As the week drew to a close, the students said goodbye to their newfound friends. Madrid Vibes was honored to play a part in creating memories that will last a lifetime, and we look forward to welcoming more students from around the world to experience the magic of Madrid with us.
